Strangers United FC is a newly formed, FA Affiliated football club that will be competing in the well-established Kingston and District Football League in the upcoming season. Said league comprises of two divisions, the highest of which, the Premier Division, is situated at the 14th level of the English Football League System & teams may be promoted Surrey South Eastern Combination (http://www.kingstonanddistrict.co.uk/kdfhistw.php). Strangers United FC will be joining the second division and, with a strong & passionate squad, along with an up-and-coming FA qualified coach, are aiming for immediate promotion this season. The Club was founded originally as a 5-a-side team in 2019, but since then has gone on to grow exponentially & the founders - Sion Mattey (Chairman), Jack Nithavrianakis (Secretary) and Dafydd Jones (Treasurer) - took the bold step of officially taking the club into the football pyramid. The Club was founded with one main value - community. Bringing people together after the turbulent years of isolation that everyone has experienced was paramount & at a time when creating a welcoming, engaging & competitive environment might have seemed a daunting task, the role of Strangers United FC & other clubs like it is more important than ever. To this end, the very name of the club reflects the values that were at the very heart of its inception - strangers united. We are a passionate, friendly & respectful team that looks to unite people from many different communities & backgrounds and create a club environment that focuses on the FA's message, "Football for All".
