Job Description
Sands United FC is a unique way for dads and other bereaved family members to come together through a shared love of sport and find a support network where they can feel at ease talking about their grief when they’re ready.
Sands United is teaming up with Surrey FA to start a brand new team in the County (currently planned for Guildford but could be changed based on demand) and is now seeking the support of a volunteer manager to help set up the team and recruit its playing members. Supported by Sand United and Surrey FA staff, the team manager will be responsible for helping with recruiting new players, marketing and in time assist the administration of matches and training where applicable. They are also more than welcome to play on the team itself should they wish.
Once up and running each team member helps make a difference by raising vital funds to help Sands achieve its vision of a world where fewer babies die, and when a baby does die, anyone affected receives the best possible care and support for as long as it’s needed.
