Crystal Palace FC (Women) has a thriving and successful Junior section. As a coach with the wider team you will have direct responsibility for the development of the players in your cohort as they progress through the club. Uniquely CPFCW operates both a youth development and academy style structure which allows for the differing rates of development of players based on their age group allocation. CPFCW has a strong record of player development with 8 of the existing Development squad having been with he club since U10, and 2 of these making their debuts in the WSL this season.
Responsible to Head of Youth Development, the post holder will be responsible for leading or supporting coaching and developing age specific syllabus at 2 evening training sessions plus Sunday Match Day.
Brief Duties:
• Assist in the development of the players within your age group to reach their potential in a fun, safe and challenging environment.
• Delivering and supporting high quality coaching to sessions to develop all players within the clubs vision, philosophy and long term player development pathway.
• Ensuring that players and parents abide by the Club’s Code of Conduct and Respect guidelines
• Support the recruitment processes of bringing players to the Club in line with our core values and trial process with fairness and without bias.
• To support team administration for all fixture confirmation and associated pre/post match day duties and responsibilities.
• To liaise with other age group coaches around best practise, players going through age group transitions etc.
• Complete all admin processes, session planning, player reviews (IDP’s) and other operational requirements.
• Attend in-house CPD events to aid delivery of in-house syllabus
